Tin made coffee part 2
The second way of making coffee with a can is the Turkish pot method.
We have slightly modified the can to make it more akin to a bought one. If you do attempt to make one, please take care not to hurt yourself.
To make the coffee this is the way we followed these amounts for one cup:
7g fine ground coffee
50ml water
First measure the water, then add the coffee and stir it well to make sure all the coffee is in the water.
Next put it on a gentle heat give it a stir then bring to just before boil. This took about 4 minutes.
Then carefully pour off into you cup.
In the cup!
Again, as with the other method the first attempt had a good intense flavour but had a noticeable metallic note to it.
The second attempt at it resulted in a good and flavorsome Turkish style coffee.
Because of the nature of Turkish coffee being a short drink I would recommend using a smaller tin one that usually has either peas or purée in if you can.
